Paying your dues to earn respect in the music industry is no easy task, but for Houston TX rapper/producer J-Mike,

the dream of success is soon becoming a reality. Born January 9, 1990 in the big city of Houston, TX where

independent music is heavily accepted and played, J-Mike realized music was his passion at an early age. J-Mike

set out to perfect his craft of music at age 16, which lead him to co-produce his first mix tape with his group Bank

Squad  titled “Bank Squad: The Arrival”.  After deciding to pursue a solo career as an artist, J-Mike released over

300 copies of his second mix tape titled “Determination Vol.1”.After realizing that quality music was the key

to his success with listeners and fans, J-Mike saved up enough money to purchase his own professional

recording equipment to create better quality music.  J-Mike was determine to grind harder to make things

work in their favor and prayed that God would help put him in a position to take his music career to the

next level of success. His prayers were answered and took J-Mike on to produce his fifth studio mix tape

called “Real Talk Vol 1” which went on to have over 700 downloads online. J-Mike is currently working on

new music and wants to send a message through his music that people can understand and relate to.

His hope shows that even when society tells you it’s impossible, through faith, hard work and

determination anything is possible.
